1993 J.B.A 4 Speed Manual Kit Car

This is an open two seater custom built car.  It was designed in UK by JBA and the kit  was manufactured, under license, in Perth, Western Australia.  The  design was based on the Jaguar SS100 , which is featured in the logo of the National Automobile Museum of Tasmania in Launceston.  The car was built, by the present owner in WA and first  registered in WA  in 1999. Now regustered in Tasmania until July 2022.  It has a Ford 2 litre, 4 cylinder engine with Weber carburettor and electric fuel pump and a 4-speed gearbox.  Much of the trim is in leather with a Jarrah dashboard and centre section.

The kit consisted primarily of a galvanised steel chassis and a series of  body panels of steel, aluminium and fibreglass which had to be cut to size and fiited.  The engune was reconditioned inluding new valves suitable for unleaded fuel and a catalytic converter was added to the exhaust system.  The outlet exhaust ports were enlarged and matched to the manifold ports.  The headlights are fed via relays to reduce the losses.  There is steel inside the fibreglass doors for safety.  The rear of the kit was increased in height allowing the construction of a boot, the chassis has been strengthened to allow for a trailer hitch to be fitted in the future, trailer socket is present.  A number of special castings were made

Registered till July 2022

With every season… there is a Tullochs Classics, Sports, Prestige, Survivor Car & Petronalia Auction!

You can practically smell Autumn in the air, this means apples, woodsmoke, golden leaves & everyone knows that a season change means it's time for a Tullochs Classic, Sport, Prestige, Survivor Car & Petronalia Auction!

It's a great time to snap up a barn-find car or estate survivor car and put it away if you can, especially Holden, Ford & HSV as they aren't making any more of them and prices are climbing- don't miss out! There's some good options in the GTS, XU6 and Clubsport line from very low KM investments to some that need a little love but are delightful survivors.

Some great Tasmanian Personalised number plates for all types of enthusiast (we maintain that the PIES plate is about pastries OK?), including a couple that would complement the HSV you are going to be winning ...(go on.. we know you just want one!)

If you are looking for a project to tinker with there's a VW Kombi Camper, Jaguar Mk2 3.8, Jaguar S type.

So many pieces of oil-related memorabilia, Castrol Wakefield, Esso, Gold Fleece, etc for your man-cave or she-shed.

The auction is open for pre-bidding with the action taking place 27th March online.
